barcelona
29 AugI have done alot of traveling in my lifetime but I have never fallen in love with a city like I fell for Barcelona. It is one of those places I could move to in a second. The city is gorgeous and huge, with an extremely relaxed and creative atmosphere. It is the place I was made to live. The architecture is amazing. A huge mishmash of styles, colors. and textures.
The people were fabulous and fabulously dressed. And ohhh, the shopping… We found little boutiques selling handmade soaps, bazaars selling anything you can think of set up in the squares. And of course I had to check out the Chanel store next to my hotel!
Definitely a place of huge inspiration for me and hope it can be for you too!

steampunk
25 JulWhen I first started on etsy a couple weeks ago, I encountered a term I had never heard of: steampunk. Steampunk is anything made with metal and gears, but from a Victorian age point of view.
Wikipedia describes steampunk as:
“a sub-genre of science fiction, alternate history, and speculative fiction that came into prominence during the 1980s and early 1990s.[1] Steampunk involves a setting where steam power is still widely used—usually the Victorian era Britain—that incorporates elements of either science fiction or fantasy. Works of steampunk often feature anachronistic technology or futuristic innovations as Victorians may haveenvisioned them; based on a Victorian perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, art, etc. This technology may include such fictional machines as those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne.”
